The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Product Owner with a strong background in Cloud Engineering or Architecture to join our client’s Global Data & AI (GDAI) Platform Engineering team. In this role, you will help shape and support a scalable, secure, and self-service streaming analytics platform that empowers real-time observability through dashboards and data tools.
This is a technology-focused product owner role that blends hands-on engineering expertise with leadership in backlog management and business collaboration. You will work closely with engineers and business stakeholders to ensure the successful development and continuous improvement of platform capabilities, enabling a truly data-driven organization.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the primary interface between engineering and business stakeholders, supporting product vision and strategy definition.

Design, develop, and maintain a reusable, on-demand, and cloud-native analytics platform on AWS.

Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the platform’s performance, scalability, and security.

Work in close collaboration with the Engineering Manager to align development efforts with business goals.

Lead integration efforts with other cloud services and platform components across the GDAI ecosystem.

Keep pace with emerging technologies in cloud infrastructure, data engineering, and observability, and help drive continuous improvement.

Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers in the team.

Ensure proper documentation of technical architecture, processes, and operational best practices.

Ideal Background & Qualifications
7+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, Architect, or similar role focused on cloud-native data platforms.

Prior experience in product ownership, tech leadership, or engineering management.

Proven hands-on expertise in AWS (preferred), with experience in infrastructure deployment and lifecycle management.

Strong understanding of cloud security best practices, compliance, and data protection.

Skilled in container technologies (e.g., Docker) and orchestration.

Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or Go.

Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as CDK or Terraform.

Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and software testing practices (BDD/TDD is a plus).

Bonus experience with analytics and observability tools such as Databricks, Snowflake, Grafana, RStudio, and SAML authentication.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with a collaborative, cross-functional approach.

Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (Bachelor’s or Master’s).

The GDAI Platform Engineering team supports everything from data ingestion, analytics, and ML, to data science tooling and enterprise-scale platform solutions.
This team is central to the client’s digital journey, providing the data backbone that enables innovation, efficiency, and measurable impact—particularly in improving outcomes for patients around the world.
