The Role
We are seeking a brilliant and experienced Senior Digital Design & Systems Engineer with a PhD to take a leading role in the design, implementation, and verification of complex digital systems for our next-generation products. The ideal candidate will possess a deep, hands-on understanding of FPGA and ASIC workflows, coupled with a strong theoretical background in electronics and telecommunications. You will be a key contributor to our most challenging projects, from system-level architecture down to hardware implementation and testing.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and verify complex digital logic for FPGAs and ASICs using VHDL/Verilog.
Develop and integrate digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms for advanced telecommunication systems.
Take ownership of the hardware development lifecycle, from specification and architecture to board-level integration and validation.
Collaborate closely with RF and antenna engineers to ensure seamless system performance and integration.
Utilize Matlab and Python for system modeling, simulation, data analysis, and automation.
Develop embedded software in C for system control, drivers, and testing.
Create comprehensive technical documentation for designs and projects.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of our design methodologies and workflows.
Required Qualifications & Skills
A PhD in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
Proven, hands-on experience in the complete FPGA and/or ASIC design flow (RTL coding, synthesis, place-and-route, timing closure, verification).
Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of Digital Electronics and Telecommunication principles (e.g., modulation, coding, wireless protocols).
Full professional proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
Acceptable working knowledge of Antenna theory and RF system fundamentals.
Proficiency in system-level modeling and algorithm development using Matlab.
Strong programming skills in C and Python.
Experience with lab equipment for testing, debugging, and validation (e.g., oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers).
Familiarity with modern verification methodologies (e.g., UVM/OVM) is a plus.
