We are now looking for a Production Engineer for our Hot Rolling Mill in Degerfors.
What we offer

You will be able to create a network and deeper understanding of what others are doing in Outokumpu.
We offer you a broad role with great freedom. The role as production engineer mainly comprises of close cooperative work together with the department manager, being responsible for the continuous improvement of the department’s production and maintenance processes. You’ll also get the opportunity to develop your leadership skills since the job entails coordinating and leading some of the operators’ daily work.
Additionally, you will participate in a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training and become responsible for improvement projects. You will also get an opportunity to share your knowledge in Outokumpu’s international graduate development program called Form your Future.
What we are looking for
To qualify for this role, you will need:
Bachelor’s degree in production- or manufacturing engineering, or other education/experience we consider relevant
Maximum 2 years of relevant work experience
Previous leadership experience is highly valued
Strong interest to develop cross-functional and international and willingness to travel
High career aspirations with a hands-on attitude and enjoy taking own responsibility
Eagerness to learn and develop and to work in fields new to you
You easily build trust and respect between yourself, colleagues, and customers
You thrive in change while guarding safety protocols
Fluency in English & Swedish (written and spoken) is required, additionally mastering any of the following company languages is a plus: German, Finnish, or Spanish
