As a Maintenance Engineer the job assignment will be various and among other tasks contain analysis, development and pre-purchasing engineering and you will be technical responsible for one or several material groups. In close collaboration with adjacent areas such as ILS (Integrated Logistic Support), Maintenance Engineering, Mechanical design and Technical Information departments you will contribute by perform project work in the most efficient way.
In the long term, you may lead small business projects and then we expect you to be responsible for the complete mission regarding time, engineering and profit/loss result of each case.
This job assignment will also mean internal and external interfaces, hence we are searching for a person who has the ability to collaborate with other colleagues and who enjoys creating and maintaining business relationships. The job assignment will also imply a wide area of tasks and you will work in a dynamic environment. Therefore, we expect you to be able to adjust quickly to changed circumstances and be able to structure your own work with good judgement and a professional attitude.
You have a Bachelor degree of Science in technology or equivalent work experience e.g. as an aircraft technician/engineer or other relevant technical work experience. You speak and write the Swedish and English language fluently and you have a Swedish drivers' license level B.
Experience of Gripen's Maintenance System, requirement analysis and good ability to read and understand design drawings is considered meritorious.
This position requires that you will be approved in a security screening in accordance with the Swedish Protective Security Act.
What you will be a part of
Within business area Support and Services you find business unit Aviation Services and this is where the Ground Support Equipment Department is located. The Department consists of approximately 80 employees in four sections and our business is to develop, support, acquire and deliver Ground Support Equipment for the Armed Forces' Aircrafts, Helicopters, facilities and Hangars. Our operations are located in Linköping, Arboga and Östersund.
The operations for section Aircraft Mechanics and Design is mainly to develop, support, acquire and deliver Ground Support Equipment for The Gripens' Maintenance System. We are 27 employees divided in two teams located in Malmslätt, Linköping.
